"Six ways to make people like you" by Dale Carnegie

1.Become genuinely interested in other people: ("Do this and you will be welcome anywhere." "You can make more friends in two months by becoming interested in other people than you can in
two years by trying to get other people interested in you." "Ask questions to other people, questions that they would enjoy answering.") This means that people will be interested and comfortable around you because you're listening to them and paying attention. Giving your full on attention to someone can really make them want to get to know you better.




2. Smile: ("Actions speak louder than words, and a smile says,"I like you". You can make me happy, I am glad to see you." " You don't feel like smiling? Then force yourself to smile." " It creates happiness in the home, fosters good will in a business, and is the countersign of friends.") This means that you should smile to everyone no matter what. If someone is having a bad day, a smile can make it better. Also, a smile a day keeps the haters away.
3. Remember names: ("A mans name is to him the sweetest and most important sound in any language." "If you don't remember names, you are headed for trouble.") This means that remembering someones name is really important because it shows how much importance you give to them. For example if you remember someones name the first time you meet them, it makes them feel good because you actually paid attention. On the other hand if you forget, it shows that you weren't really paying attention and didn't seem to care.
4. Be a good listener. Encourage others to talk about themselves: ("If you aspire to be a good conservationist, be an alternative listener." "Remember that the man you are talking to is a hundred times more interested in himself and his wants and his problems than he is in you and your problems.") This means that if you tend to speak a lot to others, you should also consider hearing them out as well as they hear you out. Also that you should consider talking to others about their problems and expressing their feelings.
5. Talk in terms of the other man's interest: ("The royal road to a man's heart is to talk to him about the things he treasures most.") This means that to keep and have conversation with someone, you must ask and talk about their treasures. This will make people like you because maybe you can pursue their dreams, and they will be so into the conversation they are having with you. They will also talk to you about the things you are into if they are good and respectful people.
6. Make the other person feel important-and do it sincerely: (The desire to be important is the deepest urge in human nature." "Helping people feel important and appreciated works magic.") This means that to make people feel important, you should always make time for them no matter how busy you are. Also is they truly care, they will do what is possible and make you feel loved in an important way. 
Final Reflection: To the "Six Ways" I feel that this will really help with help you with making friends and getting people to like you. On the other hand, these ways can also help with job interviews because you are giving a first good impression.

Reflection: I would like to attend this university because it is in Florida and it isn't expensive.

Areas of study and specialization: Libraries, study rooms, and quiet rooms.

Reflection: I would like to attend this University because I am interested to learn more about the medical field. Although it will be  hard to get in here, that is why I am not so sure I want to do this.

I will be talking about how and what I will be doing to accomplish my goals and dreams.

As a junior my very first goal is to graduate from high school, obviously. By accomplishing this, I am working hard on keeping my grades up. Also I am and will try to have a high GPA. When I become a senior, I will apply to Pepperdine University, any Cal state, or city college. I will try to have a job by senior year to pay for college or any need for college. I want to get my Bachelor's then my Master's on teaching. To this, I am taking a child development college class offered by ELAC. I am taking this to prepare and educate myself on how children of all ages develop and how their attitude change.

"The Fight of Their Lives"

In southeast Texas, a football team of 11-12 year old's kneel down to show support for Kaepernicks protest. As you may have heard, Colin Kaepernick kneels down during the national anthem, because he states "I am not going to stand up to show pride in a flag for a country that oppresses black people and people of color." So these 12 year old football team shows their support. Late on that event, the little boys were threatened to be murdered just for showing their support.

My thoughts on this, is that everyone has the right to do what they want and say what they want, freedom of speech. So that gives no right to anyone for any reason to threaten 11-12 year olds who feel discriminated and now threatened by people. Kaepernick has a point, because police are killing unarmed colored men and females.

TDE, short for top dawg entertainment, is a hip hop/rap record label found in 2004. I discovered it in 2012 when I first listened to a song by Kendrick Lamar, a member of this
group record label. There are six artists signed to this label who are, Kendrick Lamar, Schoolboy Q, Jay Rock, Ab Soul, SZA, Isaiah Rashad, and Lance Skiiiwalker. My two favorite artists from this label are Kendrick Lamar and Schoolboy Q. This is because their music gets me thinking and inspires me about life. The rap about the truth and hidden secrets going on in the world.
In 2013 Kendrick Lamar won forty awards from one hundred fourteen nominations to recognize his magnificent music and lyrics.

"The Six Attitude of High Achievers" by John R. Noe

1. Make no small plans: This means that in order to achieve things, you must always have a big plan for yourself. As in big plans, it means to create a plan for you to be successful in your future and your present. And to this, you will be a high achiever.
2. Do what they fear: This means that you should always do what your enemies fear. Which is succeed in a physical and emotional way. This is because they will always want you to fail, or do things to make you fail. This can also mean that some people will be afraid to try new things, so you should do what they fear to inspire.
3. Are willing to prepare: This means that you will prepare yourself for the big plans you have for yourself in the future. Prepare yourself for negative and positive people in your life. But most important
prepare for the bumps in life that'll come to you. You must have the will to prepare.
4. Are willing to risk failure: Although, you have to do good things and follow orders to succeed, you should take risks in life. I believe this means that you are willing to take risks. As in you should step out of your comfort zone, it is good to step out your comfort zone time to time.
5. Are teachable: What this means is that if you are successful, people will like to learn from you. For example if you are a good role model, people will look up to you. So if you are a high achiever, you are a teachable person. So in other words you have to be reliable to the people who look up to you.
6. Have heart: The meaning of this is that people who achieve highly are people who set their hearts to what they want to accomplish. If you don't have a heart, as in being selfish, you won't get anywhere being selfish and reliant. If you have a heart and care for others, they will do the same for you, and they will help you in your times of need.
Reflection: My opinion on the six ways to being a high achiever is that it will motivate you to be successful and accomplish your goals. What you could do with the 6 ways is accomplish them and follow them to make you a better person.
